Nestled in the rolling green hills of Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Maleny is a little town with a big heart! Famous for its breathtaking scenery, rich dairy farming heritage, creative spirit, incredible local businesses and genuine country hospitality, Maleny is a place where community still means something.
That's why Col and Nellie Finley envisioned the Maleny Music Muster!
Nellie Finley is a born-and-bred hinterland local (Kevin & Glenda Braden, dairy farmers at Cambroon). Nellie's tie with Maleny reaches back decades, with a very strong tie to the local town history: great-granddaughter of the Watson family (Watson Garage and The Maleny Guest House)
We're not trying to be another big music festival. We're creating a good old-fashioned community gathering that celebrates everything we love about our town, our local businesses, farmers, producers, talented people, and the wonderful characters who make Maleny special.
At the heart of it all is Maleny own iconic and truly a first in Australia BIG CHEESE ROLL! A quirky, fun-filled celebration of our dairy heritage that brings locals and visitors together for laughter, friendly competition and a great cause.
Throw in some fantastic live music, delicious local food, family fun and a whole lot of country hospitality, and you've got an experience that's uniquely Maleny.
Our little event isn't about being the biggest or the flashiest. It's about supporting local, giving back, making memories and creating a tradition our community can be proud of.
